I absolutely loved this different approach to the vamp genre…  It is quite addictive. I sat and read it in one sitting much to the suffering of everything around me. It was one of those books that holds you hostage!! I hope y’all enjoy this one as much as I have!! — Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Night Walkers, rogue monks in a secret Brotherhood, a megalomaniac monk and a love that spans centuries make for a great sensual paranormal romance in this first of Kessler’s new The Night series.Bitten By Paranormal Romance

The characters were very relateable and I found myself investing in them as the story went. The plot and pace kept me glued to the book. With twist and turns, Ups and downs, I couldn’t stop. My Rating 5 stars!! – – Were Vamp Romance Reviews

I was impressed with the eternal love Calisto held for Tala – or Kate, as she was known in this life – and his determination to protect and defend her, even by not wanting to admit he was a Night Walker and confess all that entailed.  This was an interesting and exciting story, and I will be interested to see what the next chapter holds for Kate and Calisto.Bitten By Books

A Night Series Novella

Blurb –

After the fall of the Mayan civilization, Kane, an immortal Night Walker, has taken refuge in France for over 800 years. The modern world holds little interest for him until the night he meets the Golden Thief and is robbed of much more than his pocket watch.

Marguerite Rousseau is living a double life. By day she is the assistant to an eccentric French artist, Antoine Berjon, and by night she dons elegant evening gowns to woo French dignitaries before lifting their wallets.

Sparks ignite when Kane captures the thief, but Marguerite harbors a dark secret that could ruin them both.

    Hi, Lisa,
Congratulations on all the success you’ve been having with your stories!

I found your site quite by chance – I was checking book covers on cover model Jimmy Thomas’s site (he’s on the cover of Across the Veil). I Googled the book title and voila! Here I am. While checking out Across the Veil I found the info about the Night series. I’m buying Across the Veil and am planning to get the Night books.

  5. Just tried to request this book at the library (and all over the circuit and beyond) and they have no copies available. why??!! 😦

    • Lisa Kessler says:

I’m with a brand new publisher so it will be a little while before the paperbacks make it to libraries… :-/ Right now in the only places in San Diego that have it on the shelves are the Barnes & Noble in Oceanside and La Mesa, and Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore in Claremont Mesa.

I’ll keep you posted if that changes… Maybe you can request for the library to get it? I have no idea if they listen, but it can’t hurt, right? LOL

      Thanks for commenting Arianne!!!

      Lisa 🙂
